The Sub-National Governance (SNG) Programme’s Punjab team met with the CM Punjab SMU team for a discussion on further scale-up of innovations in health and education for ‘improving lives’ of citizens of the Punjab and Pakistan. This session was held on Friday, March 2, 2018.
The SNG’s team showed the Special Monitoring Unit (SMU) team its documentary on the health pilots of the District Delivery Challenge Fund (DDCF) in Punjab. The primary focus of the session was to share the impact and results of DDCF health pilots which employed innovative solutions to address some of the health sector problems in Punjab.
The highlight of the convention was live demonstration of DDCF’s Telemedicine pilot in Hafizabad, which could connect patients at Basic Health Units (BHU)s to the medical consultants at the District HeadQuarters (DHQ) Hospital for 17 primary tests, including tele- gynaecology.
Team Lead Punjab Usman Khan also presented the knowledge products of DDCF to the Head of SMU, Fatima Zaidi.
